What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy at our center takes a holistic, client-centered approach to mental health that recognizes our egos and identities are not the whole picture of our existence. Sessions include elements of somatic, mindfulness, and inner-directed therapy through a liberation psychology lens.

We work with you to co-create the change you want to see in your life.

  • Psychotherapy can be a valuable treatment approach for individuals experiencing traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and spiritual and relationship challenges, as well as those who have struggled to feel change despite prior attempts at therapy.

    This therapy can also be useful for anyone seeking to develop balanced self-awareness or access deeper meaning and purpose.

    Our approach to psychotherapy is informed by our diverse backgrounds — as a team we understand the value of insight and connection both within and beyond our identities.

  • Psychotherapy typically consists of weekly 50-minute sessions with your one-on-one therapist. The duration of treatment is determined based on your intake evaluation, current symptoms, and treatment goals.

    Your therapist will actively involve you in creating your treatment plan and goals — you determine the pace, content, and progress.

  • All our therapists have advanced licensure in clinical psychotherapy and extensive training in client-centered, depth-oriented therapy that places you at the center of your own healing.

    We prioritize an evidence-informed course of treatment, developed and implemented by our collaborative team of psychiatrists and psychotherapists. Your well-being is our first priority.
